Biography

Dr. Muhammad Razi is the chair of the Department of Business Information Systems and professor of computer information systems. He joined WMU in 2000.

His scholarly interests include relational and non-relational databases, ERP Systems, and software application and adaptation.

Prior to joining WMU, Razi worked as a software developer and an IT consultant for several years. He has 22 years of teaching experience at the Haworth College of Business and worked as the associate chair of the department from 2018 to 2022. Biography

Mohammad Daneshvar Kakhki is an assistant professor of information systems in Western Michigan University's Department of Business Information Systems. He has nine years of professional experience primarily in the areas of IT, logistics and supply chain management. In these positions, he worked in the automotive, banking, food and beverage, and medicine industries.

Kakhki's research is focused on applications of business intelligence and analytics in improving performance of supply chains. He has published peer-reviewed academic publications in journals, including Information & Management, Journal of Electronic Commerce Research, and Communications of the Association for Information Systems. He holds a Ph.D. in information systems from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and master of science and a bachelor of science degrees in industrial engineering from Sharif University of Technology.

Dr. Utkarsh Shrivastava, is an assistant professor at the Haworth College of Business, Western Michigan University. With a Ph.D. in Information Systems and Decision Sciences from the University of South Florida, Dr. Shrivastava specializes in Business Analytics and boasts a diverse range of expertise in machine learning, econometric modeling, and business application development.


Dr. Shrivastava's research focuses on cutting-edge areas, including Artificial Intelligence in healthcare, IT policy, information exchange, and entrepreneurship. He has made noteworthy contributions to his field by investigating the use of AI for patient triaging, analyzing the impact of privacy regulations on health information exchange, and exploring the potential of ICT to foster new businesses and curb corruption.


Dr. Shrivastava's research has been widely published in top-tier peer-reviewed journals, including several A* and A outlets on the ABDC journal list.
